FAQ

During the PCBA design and production process, is there an NDA to protect my IP?

During the PCBA design and production process, is there an NDA to protect my IP?

A: Yes, absolutely.

D-MAX fully understands that your Gerber files and BOM list are your company's most critical Intellectual Property (IP). Protecting our clients' IP is the "absolute baseline" and a "standard operating procedure" for D-MAX's professional Turnkey services.

As the very first step in launching a project with D-MAX, we proactively and willingly sign a legally binding NDA (Non-Disclosure Agreement) with you.

1. What is an NDA? How does it protect you?

An NDA is a formal legal contract. It clearly defines in writing:

  • Scope of Confidentiality: Clearly defines that all information you provide to D-MAX (including but not limited to Gerbers, BOMs, schematics, test files, etc.) is "Confidential Information."

  • Legal Obligation: D-MAX is legally bound and strictly prohibited from "disclosing," "copying," "transferring," or "using for any non-project-related commercial purpose" any of your confidential information in any form.

Signing an NDA is the cornerstone of building a "trust-based partnership" between D-MAX and you.

2. How does D-MAX "actually execute" IP protection? (Beyond just a paper contract)

B2B procurement professionals understand that while an NDA is necessary during the PCBA design and production process, the "actual internal control procedures" are even more important.

D-MAX doesn't just provide a piece of paper. We implement "IP Protection" into our daily PCBA manufacturing workflow through these "Three Internal Security Mechanisms":

(1) Strict "Internal Data Access Control"

  • Once your files (Gerber/BOM) enter the D-MAX system, they are stored on "secure internal servers."

  • Only "authorized" core project engineers and procurement staff can access your complete data. Production line operators only have access to the "partial information" needed to perform their specific station's task (like SMT coordinate files) and cannot access your complete design blueprint.

(2) A Secure "Supply Chain Firewall"

  • This is the most easily overlooked risk in a Turnkey service. When D-MAX executes Turnkey procurement, we build a "supply chain firewall" for you.

  • Method: We "will never" send your "complete project data package" to a single supplier.

    • To the PCB Fab: We only provide the Gerber files required for PCB manufacturing.

    • To Component Distributors: We only provide the BOM list required for procurement.

  • Result: Our suppliers (like the PCB fab) will not know what expensive ICs are on your board, and the component distributors will not know your PCB's trace layout. D-MAX perfectly protects your IP integrity through "information partitioning."

(3) An "Approved Vendor List (AVL)" Bound by NDAs

  • D-MAX's partner PCB manufacturers and component distributors are all long-term partners who are "strictly vetted" and equally "bound by NDAs." We eliminate the risk of IP leakage from the very source.

Choosing D-MAX means you are not just choosing a "manufacturer"; you are choosing a "trusted IP guardian and partner."

We deeply understand that your design is your competitive edge in the market. Through the dual protection of an "NDA legal guarantee" and "rigorous internal controls," D-MAX ensures your intellectual property is protected to the highest standards at every single stage of the Turnkey manufacturing process.
